Job Summary

This full-time Junior Cybersecurity Analyst role is based in Skopje, operating fully remote. We are seeking a detail-oriented and security-minded Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this Junior role, you will support the organization's efforts to protect systems, network, and data from security threats. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts, assisting with incident response, performing basic vulnerability assessments, and supporting the implementation of security controls. You will work closely with senior analysts to investigate potential threats, document findings, and help maintain a strong security posture. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong interest in cybersecurity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to build a long-term career in IT.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Higher education qualification preferred (Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional certifications or hands-on experience may be considered).
  • Junior-level role: 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, SOC, help desk, or a related technical role.
  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, incident response, and security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and identity and access management fundamentals.
  • Ability to follow structured security processes and playbooks within an MSP or SOC environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and professionally.
  • Required: Fluency in English and Macedonian, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, alert-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, remotely from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), EC-Council CEH (completed or in progress).
  • Experience working with security monitoring tools, ticketing systems, or log management platforms is an advantage.
  • Basic scripting ability in Python for automation or security-related tasks.
